Transference is the seventh album from Spoon, their fifth on respected imprint Merge Records, and their first made without the help of an outside producer. ''Transference'' is the seventh studio album by Austin, Texas indie rock band Spoon. It was released on January 18, 2010 in Europe, and on January 19 in North America. In Australia, it was released on January 15 through Spunk Records.
The album debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 53,000 copies in its first week.
