Twelve inch vinyl pressing. In early 2017, the young Australians from Parcels may have only released a couple of tracks and yet they are already being compared to 'humanized Daft Punk [who]would decide to jam along with Steely Dan and Frank Ocean'. The self-produced Hideout EP was created over two years. What remains in early 2017 is a unified piece, an EP that is essentially pop but which shines in a unique, exciting and down-right groovy light. As a first completed release from Parcels, the Hideout EP covers a lot of ground. Tracks range from driving electro thumps to softer pop taps. But what is clear in the end is that Parcels bring a unique brand of pop music and deliver it with infectious and emotive dance.
