Originally released in 1988, Stream of Consciousness is the third and final studio album from the original lineup of Cryptic Slaughter. While their previous albums (Convicted, Money Talks) established them as one of the fastest bands on the West Coast, Stream pushes the boundaries of that sound further. Despite being recorded during a time of band turbulence, it offers a raw, bass-heavy, and ""manic"" sound that is widely considered an underrated, essential slab of 80s extreme music.
