Metropolis Records presents more KMFDM Classic re-releases. These long out of print essentials from the band's Wax Trax! Records days have been unavailable for years. Now, Metropolis Records is putting them out in the order in which they debuted. Next in line to be released are the cornerstones of the KMFDM back catalog, 1990's Naïve, 1992's Money and 1993's Angst. These albums have all been given the deluxe treatment with some containing additional customized extras. The booklets for Naïve and Angst have both been expanded to 20 pages to include lots of exciting new material. To make this the ultimate version of Naïve, KMFDM has packed the CD full with 5 bonus tracks of remixes originally released on 1994's Naïve: Hell To Go. All KMFDM Classic re-releases have been digitally remastered, presenting their songs in a quality previously unavailable. Documenting the history of KMFDM the accompanying CD booklets all include the original album art (by famed KMFDM co-conspirator Brute!), in-depth liner notes, quotes from KMFDM leader and founder Sascka K., lyrics for each song, never before seen photos of the band, full recording and production credits and more. All work on these releases, from the remastering to the packaging, has been done with the highest level of participation from Sascha K. These releases join KMFDM's first three albums, What Do You Know, Deutschland', Don't Blow Your Top and UAIOE which are already available from Metropolis Records. Look for the rest of the KMFDM Classics including Nihil and Xtort coming soon. The next phase of the legacy begins, KMFDM is back to Rip The System again!Reviews:
''Naïve'' is industrial rock group KMFDM's fifth album, released in 1990. It was recorded in Hamburg, Germany upon KMFDM's return from their first visit to America and subsequent tour with Ministry. It was also the first record that they released after signing directly to Wax Trax! Records.
The album was out of print for over a decade due to copyright infringement: the seventh track, "Liebeslied", used unauthorized samples from a recording of "O Fortuna," from Carl Orff's 1930s cantata ''Carmina Burana''. The album was recalled approximately three years after being released. Copies today are rare and considered collector's items, often fetching high prices at auction.
All of the tracks on the album, except for the original mixes of "Die Now-Live Later", "Liebeslied" and "Go to Hell" were subsequently available on other discs. The album was re-released as ''Naïve/Hell to Go'', with some songs remixed, in 1994. A digitally remastered reissue of ''Naïve'' was released on November 21, 2006, along with ''Money'' and ''Angst''. It was reissued with an edited version of the track "Liebeslied" without the offending sample. It also features the remixes that initially appeared on ''Naïve/Hell To Go''. - Wikipedia
