Puddle of Mudd's third album, Famous, once again displays Puddle of Mudd's sixth sense for creating anthemic songs that are at once optimistic and uneasy, uplifting yet contemplative, dramatic but never without humor.Reviews:
''Famous'' is the third major label studio album (fourth overall) from U.S. alternative rock band Puddle of Mudd. It was released on October 9, 2007 on Flawless Records. ''Famous'' was originally set to be released in May, but was pushed back to add more songs to the album. The album was also announced by the band to be titled ''Livin' on Borrowed Time'', but that was changed to ''Famous'' after the name of the first single.
The title track provided the album's lead single on May 21, 2007. "Psycho" would follow as the second single on November 2.
''Famous'' debuted at number 27 on the U.S. ''Billboard 200'', selling about 31,000 copies in its first week. - Wikipedia
As we've pointed out before, it's an ideal time for grunge bands to get back together for one last hurrah. Grunge bands discovered by Fred Durst'"um, they might have a tougher go of it. Despite the nu-stigma attached to Puddle of Mudd, they did have their share of hooks (remember "She f*ckin' hates me!") and there will always be a market for the vintage Kurt Cobain snarl frontmen like Wes Scantlin can expertly appropriate.
