The Adicts came from Ipswich on the east coast of England, dressed in white in an amalgam of The Joker and Clockwork Orange imagery. They made a big impact in the UK, entering the national charts with their single on Sire Records - who insisted they change their name to ADX (or The Fun Adicts when on Children's TV!) With catchy, glam-punk singalong tunes and theatrical shows, The Adicts continue to grow their audience and regularly tour the USA, UK and Europe.

This limited edition yellow vinyl of The Adicts' fourth studio album is the first repressing since the 1980s, now with a new inner bag and previously unseen color photos.

Demon Records are delighted to announce the release of Haircut 100% Live! Hammersmith Odeon Spring 1982 for Record Store Day 2023, released with full co-operation of the band. Haircut 100% Live! Hammersmith Odeon Spring 1982 is an in-concert album that highlights the group at the summit of their powers – high speed funk, to-die for pop and sweet melodies against the backdrop of Haircutmania. In 1992, The Residents pondered their 20th Anniversary. A best-of collection had been proposed, and the group gathered together to draw up a potential tracklist. All was well until one of the Eyeballed Entities, unconsciously expressing something none of them had been able to verbalize, threw up on that tracklist.

Once the dust had settled, somewhere in there, amongst the resulting soggy mess of vomit, paper and ink, The Residents noticed the proposed best-of song titles had congealed into a collage of new, never before heard tunes. 'Kick A Cat' and 'Picnic In The Jungle' had become 'Kick A Picnic', whilst 'Amber' and 'Six Things To A Cycle' had become 'Six Amber Things'. You get the idea.

This was it! Inspired by the rather repulsive mess that sat before them, the group chose to take the entire episode as a sign and began recording collages of select tracks from their back catalogue as instructed by those soggy scraps. What better way to celebrate twenty long dreary years of obscure stardom and sacrifice a few of their own sacred cows at the same time?!

Never before released on vinyl, and with their 50th Anniversary in mind in 2023, The Residents now present 'Our Finest Flowers' for your consideration again. The classic 1992 20th Anniversary album, which saw The Residents rework lyrics, melodies and themes from their entire back catalog into an album of new tracks, on vinyl for the first time. Includes an insightful new essay by JIM KNIPFEL. Celebrating twenty long dreary years of obscure stardom...

In short order, the young Nashville band has risen from humble beginnings playing the Nashville house party scene and DIY art gatherings to performing at festivals like Bonnaroo and Forecastle and sharing bills with the likes of Rostam and Cold War Kids.

With ‘Wait,’ Arlie make good on the potential exhibited on their early singles. Lead single “barcelona boots” is a swirl of washed-out synths and Banks’ yearning falsetto, while “too long” is a sighing ballad underpinned with psychedelic atmospherics. On the EP's closer -- the tropical, hazy “tossing and turning” -- Arlie turns a self-deprecating eye on a superficial generation so fixated on projecting a lifestyle that they miss out on living the actual life.

In 1968 The Rolling Stones returned to their blues roots on Beggars Banquet, which was immediately acclaimed as one of their landmark achievements. A strong acoustic Delta blues flavor colors much of the material, particularly “Prodigal Son” and “No Expectations.” Basic rock n’ roll is not forgotten with “Street Fighting Man” and “Sympathy For The Devil.” The lyrical bite of the material ensured the album’s place as one of the top blues-based records of all time.

Exclusive to Record Store Day 2023, this LP is pressed on grey, blue, black and white swirl vinyl as an ode to the lyric “a swirling mass of grey, blue, black and white,” from “Salt Of The Earth,” as performed in The Rolling Stones Rock And Roll Circus. These recordings can only be described as a Dub Clash, or as Roger Stefans calls it in the liner notes: “Dub Dubstock.” Taking the concept of pairing some of the greatest roots artists with some of the genre’s most beloved Dub artists adds a new dimension to the legacy of everyone involved, and serves as an epitaph to the careers of Toots Hibbert, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Bunny “Striker” Lee. These recently departed legendary dub artists join in the enduring sounds of unreleased ‘70s productions from Osbourne Ruddock aka King Tubby who contributes to the project more than 30 years after his untimely demise.

Soul Jazz Records’ 200% Dynamite! set the benchmark for reggae meets funk compilations that has never been bettered. Out of print for over 15 years this new 2023 edition contains new tracks and is being released in a one-off limited-edition heavyweight red/blue vinyl pressing with a download code, exclusively for Record Store Day 2023.

Jam-packed with reggae tunes that crossed-over to become dancefloor hits such as Tenor Saw’s sound boy anthem ‘Ring the Alarm,’ K.C. White’s classic cut of the seminal ‘No, No, No’ and Augustus Pablo’s ‘Rockers Rock’, 200% Dynamite explores the links between reggae, jazz, funk and soul. Carrying on perfectly from 100% Dynamite, this second compilation continues to trace the history of Jamaican reggae and the influence of American styles such as funk and jazz had on this music.

Featured here are serious funk and rocksteady tunes from the likes of The Skatalites and Johnny Osbourne through to Jamaican jazz from masters such as Tommy McCook and Byron Lee, as well as some serious dub from the likes of Augustus Pablo, King Tubby and Jackie Mittoo. New bonus tracks on this new 2023 edition include seminal dancehall party cuts Sister Nancy’s ‘One Two’ and Chaka Demus and Pliers’ ‘Murder She Wrote’, alongside classic soul to reggae covers including cuts of Marlena Shaw’s ‘Women of the Ghetto’ and Odyssey’s ‘Don’t Tell Me Tell Her’.

“Once again, Soul Jazz goes digging through the reggae vaults and produces another sterling compilation. If you’re looking for a primer on the music of the island, you could do worse than buying every one of the records in this superb compilation series.” --All Music
